Terms of Service

Last updated: September 7, 2026

These Terms cover your use of the Catty Discord bot and web dashboard. By adding the bot, signing in, or using Catty, you agree to them.

Using Catty

Catty is a Discord bot and dashboard for music, moderation, economy, games, statistics, and server settings. It is free. We do not sell subscriptions or take payments, so there is no refund policy.

You must follow Discord's Terms and meet Discord's age requirement for your country (at least 13). If you add Catty to a server, you confirm you have the right to do that.

If you do not agree, do not use Catty.

Your account

The dashboard uses Discord to sign you in. You are responsible for your Discord account and for what happens while you are signed in.

You can review and sign out devices in dashboard settings. Contact us or revoke access if you think a session is not yours.

What you must not do

Do not:

  • Use Catty to break Discord's rules or the law
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other people
  • Try to access accounts, data, or systems you should not have
  • Overload, scrape, or disrupt the service
  • Spread malware, spam, or illegal or harmful content

If you run a server

Server owners and admins are responsible for how Catty is used there: permissions, which features are on, and whether logging is enabled. If logging is on, message content and member information may be posted to a Discord channel they control.

Admins should follow applicable law and tell members about the bot where that is required. We may remove Catty from a server that breaks these Terms or puts the service at risk.

Music

Catty searches and plays tracks from third-party platforms such as YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Bandcamp. Those platforms have their own terms. We do not own the music and we do not promise it will always be available.

You are responsible for having the right to play what you request.

Virtual economy and games

Catty's economy and games use virtual currency with no real-world value. You cannot buy it or cash it out.

We may change, reset, or remove balances and game data to fix bugs or abuse.

Availability

We aim to keep Catty running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change or be removed. We may set usage limits so the service stays usable for everyone.

Content and branding

Catty's name, branding, and original code belong to the Catty project. You may use the service as intended.

You keep rights in content you create. Discord, music platforms, and other third parties keep their own marks and content.

Stopping use

You can stop using Catty at any time. Remove the bot from a server, and delete your data from the dashboard if you want.

We may suspend access or remove the bot from a server if you break these Terms, or for security or legal reasons. Terms that still need to apply after that, such as the liability limits below, continue to apply.

Limits of our responsibility

Catty is provided as is. We do not promise it will meet every need, or that every defect will be fixed. We are not responsible for Discord, music platforms, hosting providers, or content other people create.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions, or for indirect or similar damages. Because Catty is free, our total liability for a claim about the service is limited to EUR 50 or the equivalent in your currency. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, they apply only as far as the law allows.

Other services

Catty depends on Discord, music platforms, and other services described in the Privacy Policy. Their terms apply to your use of them. We do not control when they are available.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using Catty after a change, the new Terms apply. If you disagree, stop using the service.
